Essential oils for Sore Muscles and Muscle Spasms

Painful contractions, tightening of muscles are all symptoms of muscle spasm. They are common, involuntary and unpredictable. A muscle spasm is a sudden involuntary in one or more muscle. These are very common , they can happen in any part of the body , but they tend to affect the feet, hands, arms, thighs, abdomen, intercostals muscles, which are around the rib cage.
Muscle pain, pain, fatigue, and overuse are the most common cause of muscle spasms. Other cause include stress and anxiety, which can lead to muscle twitches in the face. People who have certain health conditions such as nerve disorders or thyroid related problems also tend to experience a higher than average frequency of muscle spasm.
Muscle spasms are not usually a thing to worry about but in some cases they can be a sign of neurological health condition, which can affect the brain, which is responsible for making the muscle move. Not all muscle spasms are painful, but some can cause pain. It can feel as though the muscle is jumping or moving on its own, this feeling typically can last upto few seconds and in some people the muscle twitching can be seen.

Symptoms
At times it feels as the whole muscle has cramped up and cannot move. This effect most commonly happens in legs and it can be quite painful. The muscle may feel hard to touch, while the cramping sensation tends to pass within a few minutes or the muscle may hurt for some time afterwards.
If the spasm is a part of neurological condition the patient will experience other symptoms such as pain in the back of neck, weakness in the muscles, skin numbness, pin & needles sensations, tremors, paralysis, slow movements, double vision and sleep problems.
